We would not advise you to drive into the tiny streets of the village! If driving from your villa / accommodation, leave your car in one of these parking areas and walk the last 5 minutes to the restaurant.
Park here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/g2FgAqb5fS2uwmT58
or here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Q85c7ZoiSe6Sq2b78
Arrive early and get lost walking around the village saying Kalispera to the Yias yias!
Summer Sun Bar/Cafe run by Spiros is also the best spot for a sundowner beer!

Friday 5th June

The Wedding
5pm at Il Paradiso, Agios Ioannis
There will be a welcome drink followed by a late afternoon ceremony (approx 45 mins), then dinner, speeches and dancing at our good friends George & Lydia's restaurant, Il Paradiso.
Dress code: summer wedding evening beachy chic. That honestly means just wear whatever makes you feel fabulous and comfy for dancing and heat. Shorts and birkenstocks totally welcome, it’s Greece in June!
If you have said yes to being picked up, we will contact each of you individually during the week with the pick up spot and time. Transport will be via a small air-conditioned minibus. Pick up time will be around 4pm. Details TBC.
Carriages will be at midnight but there will also be a drop off going slightly later for who anyone who is still dancing. We are very lucky to have the iconic DJ How’s Wally? playing for us.
If you're feeling fun, pack your swimmers to jump off the jetty under the stars! Yamas! Γεια μας!

Hopefully you’ve booked your flights by now, here's the info you'll need to reach Meganisi.
Preveza-Aktion National Airport (PVK) is the closest airport to Meganisi. You can also reach Meganisi via flights to Athens ( ~4 hours drive to Lefkada) or Kefalonia (ferry to Vasilki on Lefkada).
Travel on to Meganisi is usually via the Meganisi II ferry. This takes cars and foot passengers. No booking required.
Google maps link: Meganisi II ferry leaves from here in Nydri.
The ferry leaves from Nydri on Lefkada (Lefkada is the big island next to meganisi, attached to the mainland via a short bridge).
Driving from Preveza airport to Nydri on Lefkada takes approx 45-50 mins. Google maps here.
You can hire a car from Preveza airport or prebook a taxi to collect you (the cost is approx €60 - let us know if you’d like the number for Spiros, who you can WhatsApp in advance and who will confirm this for you). If you arrive on foot, you can also hire a car directly on Meganisi.
This is the ferry timetable - select the month to see the times - (NB if your outbound is in May and your return in June!)
Take the Meganisi II ferry - there is no booking system, you just drive or walk on to the ferry about 15-20 mins before the departure time and Apostoles (yes, that’s his name) will walk around and collect money from everyone, they take card & cash. It’s €1.70 per passenger, (free for under 5s) and €12.90 for a car. The crossing takes approx 20-30 minutes.
Do send us a text if your flight is delayed or if you need any help once you arrive! There is also the option of taking a water taxi (you can book this as an individual or as a group) across to Meganisi.
Kostas from Meganisi Transfers can help organise a boat / water taxi if you get stuck anywhere: +30 697 705 7611

Travel to Meganisi

Your presence is genuinely the only gift we’d like.
As the wedding is abroad, please don’t feel any pressure to bring or send anything - celebrating together means more than enough!
And our EasyJet baggage is maxed out anyway so we couldn't transport anything home!
